1. General information

1.1 These General Conditions are intended to regulate the Terms and Conditions by which the Bareo brand, managed by the company Walking - Import-Export, Unip., Lda, legal entity no. 504 857 622, whose headquarters are located at Rua da Pinheira nº21, 2475-021 Benedita, (hereinafter “Bareo”) is governed, telephone +351 961530612, email: info@bareoshoes.com .

1.2 Bareo's service consists of the provision and supply of a set of products and/or services, in order to allow the user, who is assigned the status of User, to order and purchase the products presented therein online.

1.3 Using Bareo implies full acceptance and agreement with all parameters present in the Terms and Conditions described, as well as the Privacy Policy in force at the time you access Bareo - www.bareoshoes.com . If you do not accept, partially or fully, any of the stipulated conditions, you should not make purchases at Bareo. If you access Bareo, you undertake and are responsible for respecting the conditions determined on this page and in the Privacy Policy.

1.4 Bareo reserves the right to update and change the Terms and Conditions without prior notice. It is advisable to check the Terms and Conditions periodically for any changes or updates.

1.5 For the purposes of this document, the following terms have the following meanings:

  • “Bareo” refers to the owner and person responsible for the online store available at www.bareoshoes.com .
  • "User" refers to any natural person who makes a purchase through www.bareoshoes.com .

2. Product and pricing information

2.1 Bareo informs Users about the characteristics, descriptions, images or videos of each product and/or service on each page made available. Bareo undertakes to make its products and/or services available in a clear manner and to correct any errors that may occur as quickly as possible.

2.2 Bareo presents, in a concise manner, the prices of each product and/or service, including VAT rates, shipping costs applied to each order and other additional costs that may be applicable.

2.3 Information about products, prices, content, images, videos, promotional campaigns and services may be updated and changed by Bareo at any time.

2.4 Prices are displayed in Euros - € (EUR).

3. Registration on the website

3.1 To make a purchase, the user may choose to register on the platform. After registration, the user will have access to their account, where they can manage their preferences and track their orders.

3.2 It is also possible to make purchases on the website without prior registration.

4. Intellectual property

4.1 Bareo is a registered online store, and the service provided is the responsibility of Walking - Import-Export, Unip., Lda.

4.2 The content, domain and information present and made available on Bareo are the property of Walking - Import-Export, Unip., Lda, and are therefore protected by copyright and related rights. Any and all use, reproduction, copying or dissemination of visual, audiovisual or written content is subject to prior approval by Bareo.

4.3 The User undertakes to fully respect the aforementioned conditions and rights, as well as to refrain from acts that may go against the law and rights such as copyright, related rights, among other legislation applicable to the use of images, videos, content, etc. without express approval from Bareo. Bareo cannot be held responsible for any improper use of such products.

6. Payment methods

6.1 Bareo offers the following payment methods:

  • Multibanco Reference
  • Payshop
  • Credit/Debit Card
  • MB WAY
  • Google Pay
  • Apple Pay

6.2 Once payment has been completed, Bareo will carry out a standard check so that the order can be processed and shipped. The User will receive an email confirming that the order has been paid, as well as the corresponding invoice.

6.3 Bareo does not accept any payment method other than those mentioned above and is not responsible for payments made through other unauthorized methods, nor will it reimburse the user for any losses resulting from such action.

7. Conditions of purchase at Bareo

7.1 Product availability
All products and/or services available at Bareo can be purchased, except in cases of stock shortages or limitations, as well as in cases of products made to order, the availability of which may vary. Products may become unavailable without prior notice, but in these circumstances, they will be duly identified on Bareo.

7.2 Cancellation of orders

7.2.1 Cancellation before shipping
The User may request the cancellation of their order before shipping, without any associated cost. To do so, they must contact Bareo as soon as possible via email at info@bareoshoes.com , indicating the order number. If payment has already been made, a full refund will be processed using the same original payment method. The refund period may vary depending on the payment method:

  • Credit/debit card: between 5 to 10 business days;
  • Multibanco and MB WAY Reference: up to 5 business days;
  • PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay: up to 5 business days.

7.2.2 Cancellation after shipment
If the order has already been shipped, the User may exercise the right of free withdrawal and return the products within 14 days of receipt. In this case, the following conditions apply:

  • The User must communicate the intention to return via email to info@bareoshoes.com ;
  • Products must be returned in perfect condition, with no signs of use, in their original packaging and accompanied by all accessories and labels;
  • The User will be responsible for the return costs, except in cases of error by Bareo in shipping or product defect;
  • The refund will be made after receipt and verification of the condition of the products.

7.2.3 Refunds and return deadlines
After receiving the returned products and validating the conditions, Bareo will proceed with the refund within a maximum period of 14 days. The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the purchase. If the original method is not available, Bareo may offer alternatives, provided they are viable and agreed with the customer. If the returned products show signs of use, damage or are missing components, Bareo reserves the right to refuse the return or apply a deduction to the amount to be refunded.

7.2.4 Exceptions to cancellation and refund
It will not be possible to cancel or return orders in the following cases:

  • Customized products, manufactured to order or that have been specifically adapted to the customer's needs;
  • Products that, for hygiene and safety reasons, cannot be returned after opening the original packaging (for example, socks or insoles, except for manufacturing defects);
  • Products purchased in promotional campaigns marked as 'no return', unless they have a proven defect.

7.3 Free Resolution

7.3.1 The User has the right to terminate the contract within 14 (Fourteen) days from the date of conclusion of the contract, provided that:

  • the products have not been used;
  • keep original features and labels intact;
  • are complete, including the material sent in the order.

7.3.2 If the User wishes to terminate the contract, he/she may do so by sending an email to info@bareoshoes.com .

7.3.3 The return must be made to: Walking - Import-Export, Unip., Lda, rua da Pinheira, nº21, 2475-021 Benedita.

7.3.4 The User is responsible for the return costs, except in cases where the return is motivated by an error by Bareo or a product defect.

7.3.5 Products returned with signs of use may be refused and will not be refunded.

7.3.6 Any refund procedure will be processed as provided for in the legislation in force in Decree Law No. 24/2014.

7.4 Returns and reorders (exchanges)

7.4.1 Bareo does not accept direct exchanges. If the User wishes to exchange a product, he/she must return the unwanted item and then place a new order on the website.

7.4.2 The customer is responsible for the cost of returning the product, except in cases where the return is caused by an error by Bareo or a manufacturing defect in the product.

7.4.3 If the new order meets the criteria for free shipping (minimum value established), the shipping costs of the new order will be borne by Bareo. If the value of the new order is less than the limit for free shipping, the shipping cost will be borne by the User.

7.4.4 For greater security, the User must use a reliable carrier for the return, as Bareo is not responsible for lost returned orders.

7.5 Defective product

If the product is defective, the User may choose to:

  • Repair;
  • Replacement;
  • Termination of contract.

To do so, the User must report the defect to info@bareoshoes.com , attaching photographs or a video of the problem. Bareo will respond within 15 working days with a solution.

7.6 Stock errors

Bareo will make every effort to ensure the availability and accuracy of information regarding the stock of the products presented on the website. However, stock errors may occur due to technical failures, late updates or unexpected stock shortages. If a User places an order for a product that, by mistake, is not available in stock, Bareo undertakes to inform the User as soon as possible. In this case, the User may choose to:

  • Replace the product with another of equivalent value;
  • Receive a full refund of the amount paid for the unavailable product;
  • Wait for stock to be replenished, if it is possible to predict a time frame for new availability.

Bareo cannot be held responsible for any damages or losses resulting from the temporary or permanent unavailability of an ordered product.

7.7 Quality

Bareo is committed to providing high-quality products, respecting the highest manufacturing and material selection standards. Each product undergoes rigorous quality control before being made available for sale. However, if the User identifies any manufacturing defect or any problem related to the quality of the product received, they may contact our support team for evaluation and possible replacement or refund, as applicable, by sending an email to the following address: info@bareoshoes.com .

7.8 Warranty

Bareo guarantees that all products sold comply with applicable standards and regulations, offering a legal guarantee, as established by Decree-Law No. 84/2021. If a product has a manufacturing defect or is not as expected, the User must report the situation to Bareo, through the available service channels, presenting the respective invoice and, when necessary, images or other evidence of the problem.

The warranty does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Misuse, negligence or improper handling;
  • Natural wear and tear from normal use of the product;
  • Modifications or repairs made by the User or third parties not authorized by Bareo.

If the product is within the warranty period and a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Bareo undertakes to repair, replace or refund the amount paid, at no additional cost to the User, in accordance with current legislation.

7.9 Delivery terms and conditions

7.9.1 Order processing
After payment confirmation, Bareo will process the order within a maximum period of 3 working days. If the order includes customized or made-to-order products, the processing time may be longer, and the User will be duly informed.

7.9.2 Shipping methods and carriers
Orders are sent via the following carriers: CTT Expresso (Portugal and islands). The User may choose the shipping method available at checkout.

7.9.3 Average delivery times
The estimated delivery times, after the order has been dispatched, are as follows:

  • Mainland Portugal/Spain: 2 to 3 working days
  • Azores and Madeira: 3 to 4 working days
  • Europe: 4 to 5 business days
  • Rest of the World: 3 to 7 business days (depending on destination and any customs procedures)

7.9.4 Shipping costs and free postage
Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout, based on the destination and weight/volume of the order. Bareo may offer free shipping for orders over €100, only for mainland Portugal.

7.9.5 Order tracking
After shipping, the User will receive an email with a tracking code to track the delivery status on the corresponding carrier's website.

7.9.6 Delivery delays
Bareo is not responsible for delays caused by external factors, such as strikes, logistical problems with carriers or customs retentions. If the order is not delivered within the estimated time, the User should contact us via email at info@bareoshoes.com .

7.9.7 Non-delivery and return of the order
If an order is returned to Bareo due to an incorrect/incomplete address, absence of the recipient or failure to collect from the carrier, reshipment of the order will be subject to new shipping costs borne by the User. If the User opts for a refund, the amount of postage already spent will be deducted.

7.9.8 Damage or loss
If the order arrives damaged, the User must report the incident within a maximum period of 24 hours after receipt, attaching photographs of the packaging and the product. Reports outside this period may not be accepted by the carrier.

7.10 Shipping costs

7.10.1 Calculation of shipping costs
Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on the following factors:

  • Order destination (Mainland Portugal, Islands, Europe or International);
  • Package weight and dimensions;
  • Chosen shipping method (normal or express, where applicable);
  • Carrier available for User's location.

7.10.2 Free shipping
Bareo offers free shipping to mainland Portugal on orders worth €100 or more. For orders below this value, shipping costs are applied as per the table below.

7.10.4 Additional costs and customs fees
International destinations outside the European Union: The User is responsible for any customs fees, taxes or additional charges applicable in the destination country.
Remote or hard-to-reach areas: Extra charges may apply if the carrier identifies the destination as a hard-to-reach area. In these cases, the User will be informed in advance before shipping.

7.10.5 Changes to shipping address
After completing the purchase, any change in the delivery address must be communicated as soon as possible via email to info@bareoshoes.com . If the order has already been shipped, the change may imply additional costs borne by the User.

7.10.6 User Responsibility
It is the User's responsibility to provide a correct and complete shipping address. If the order is returned to Bareo due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the reshipment will be subject to the payment of new shipping costs.

8. Exclusion and Limitation of Liability

Bareo makes every effort to ensure that the information presented on the website is correct and up to date. However, we cannot guarantee that the website will be free from errors, technical failures or service interruptions.

Bareo is not responsible for direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the website, including, but not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits or damages arising from the use of the products purchased.

Bareo cannot be held liable for delays or breaches of contract resulting from unforeseeable circumstances or force majeure, such as natural disasters, strikes, communication failures, cyber attacks or government decisions.

The User assumes full responsibility for the correct use of the products purchased and undertakes to follow all instructions and recommendations provided by Bareo. In the event of improper use, Bareo cannot be held liable for any damages or consequences.

11.1 Under the terms of Law No. 144/2015, of September 8, in the event of a consumer dispute, the consumer may resort to an Alternative Consumer Dispute Resolution (ADR) entity.

12. Data protection and privacy

12.1 Data controller
Bareo, with headquarters at Rua da Pinheira, nº21, 2475-021 Benedita, is responsible for the processing of personal data collected through the website www.bareoshoes.com and undertakes to guarantee the privacy and security of such data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and other applicable legislation.

12.2 Personal data collected
Bareo collects and processes different types of personal data, depending on the User's interaction with the website:
